A Volunteer's Day Life in HOPAD

Volunteering at HOPAD is not a traditional office roleβ€”it is a full-immersion experience. Your days are structured to combine focused support programs with organic community building.

  • πŸŒ… 07:30 AM - Morning Circle: Enjoy a warm cup of Nepali tea, help children prepare their school uniforms, review homework books, and discuss daily schedules.
  • 🏫 09:30 AM - School & Projects: As the children head off to school, volunteers coordinate administrative reports, organize libraries, or teach tailoring in our women's center.
  • πŸ› 01:00 PM - Dal Bhat Lunch: Join staff for a traditional Nepalese lunch of rice, lentils, and fresh curried greens.
  • 🎨 04:00 PM - Creative Homework Club: Guide the children through extracurriculars: drawing, playing music instruments, computer typing, or soccer.
  • 🍽️ 07:00 PM - Dinner & Reflection: Share dinner, review individual child achievements, sing songs, and prepare for the next day.
